A very special place
"Built on the boundaries of the farm square, Barmolloch is situated mid way along the scenic Kilmichael Glen on a steading which was used as a way station during the great cattle droves from the Highlands and Islands to the borders. Barmolloch apparently means "land of the green grass" and the "Kil" in Kilmartin means "church". The farm is bounded on one side by the single track road which runs the length of the glen and on the other by the Clachandubh burn (free fishing for brown trout in season)"
