Built on the bounds of the farm square, Barmolloch cottages are situated mid way along the scenic Kilmichael Glen on a steading which was used as a way station during the great cattle droves from the highlands and islands to the borders.
The farm is bounded on one side by the single track road which runs the length of the glen and on the other by the clachandubh burn (free fishing for brown trout in season). The cottages provide quality accommodation for 4,5 and 6 respectively.
Wendy and I moved to Barmolloch farm in 1991,with my mother Polly and our two sons, at which time we built the cottages. Over the years that we have operated the cottages we have made great friends from home and abroad who visit us time and time again. We have guests who first visited as teenagers who now bring their children and pets for the ‘Barmolloch experience’
